GREENUP INDUSTRIES AWARDED ADDITIONAL CONTRACT FUNDING FOR MYRTLE GROVE LEVEE PROJECT
Greenup Industries has received additional contract funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Vicksburg District, to continue advancing the Myrtle Grove Levee and Drainage Canal Relocation Project in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. This new award builds on Greenup's existing work within the project, expanding the company's role in delivering coastal infrastructure improvements that directly strengthen storm-surge defense systems for one of Louisiana's most at-risk regions.
While Greenup performs this work through Greenup Cajun JV, LLC, in partnership with Cajun Industries, this latest milestone underscores Greenup's growing scale, technical execution, and continued trust from federal partners. Read on to learn more about Greenup's impact on this critical coastal resilience project:
Strengthening a Vital Line of Defense
The Myrtle Grove project is a key component of the broader Hurricane and Storm Risk Reduction System, designed to protect communities, natural resources, and critical infrastructure from increased flood and storm vulnerabilities.
Greenup's expanding role on the project includes major civil construction operations such as:
Levee embankment placement and reinforcement
Drainage canal relocation and excavation
Culvert and drainage structure installation
T-wall and levee ramp crossing construction
Geotextile placement and ground stabilization
Surface restoration and site development
This new allocation of funding enables Greenup to increase operational capacity, advance scheduled milestones, and continue delivering essential flood-control infrastructure for southern Louisiana.
A Rising Leader in Federal Infrastructure Delivery
Since its founding, Greenup Industries has steadily expanded its footprint across the Gulf South through its work in civil construction, industrial services, and large-scale infrastructure support.

Deliver complex, federally funded infrastructure projects
Maintain rigorous safety and operational performance standards
Manage large workforces and heavy civil construction scopes
Support vital resilience efforts in high-risk coastal environments
For Greenup, the Myrtle Grove project represents more than just a contract — it is a continued commitment to strengthening Louisiana's future through infrastructure that protects communities and endures.
Advancing Coastal Resilience, Project by Project
With each phase completed, Greenup moves Plaquemines Parish closer to infrastructure that can better withstand the impacts of storm surge, flooding, and coastal land loss. The additional funding ensures continued momentum and allows Greenup to further contribute to long-term regional safety and stability.
Looking Ahead
Greenup Industries remains dedicated to:
Delivering safe, efficient, and impactful construction solutions
Strengthening resilience across Louisiana's coastal corridor
Expanding its role as a trusted partner in federally led infrastructure initiatives
