GREENUP INDUSTRIES: BUILDING FORWARD WITH PURPOSE AND SCALE

GREENUP INDUSTRIES: BUILDING FORWARD WITH PURPOSE AND SCALE

Rodney Greenup, founder and CEO, leads Greenup Industries into its next growth phase, expanding from industrial services to large-scale construction and infrastructure. Since launching in December 2012, Greenup Industries has become a trusted solutions provider serving oil and gas, construction, and public-sector clients across the Gulf Coast.

Experience and adaptability drive that growth. With more than 25 years as a project manager and business owner—and 20 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers—Greenup brings deep industry knowledge to the company’s leadership. Even during the disruptions of 2020, Greenup Industries expanded its capabilities, entered new markets, and strengthened partnerships with city, parish, state, and federal agencies.

A pivotal moment came with participation in the Louisiana Economic Development Mentor-Protégé Program. This supported the company’s strategic expansion into construction. That momentum carried into major infrastructure projects, including the $760 million West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Project. This critical flood protection system spans 18.5 miles across three parishes in southeast Louisiana. Greenup Industries’ role includes excavation, processing, and stockpiling of clay materials within the Bonnet Carré Spillway. This work is essential to strengthening storm-surge protection in the region.

In recognition of its performance and resilience, Greenup Industries was named Supplier of the Year at the NMSDC Gateway Conference. The company grounds its success in its people, long-standing subcontractor relationships, and an unwavering commitment to safety, efficiency, and accountability.

This commitment was further demonstrated when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded the Greenup-Cajun Joint Venture a $96.3 million contract. The contract is for constructing hurricane protection features and relocating levees and drainage canals in New Orleans. The project was awarded through a competitive bidding process and is scheduled for completion in late summer of 2026. It underscores Greenup’s growing role in heavy civil construction and coastal resilience efforts.

As Greenup Industries expands its construction, civil, and maintenance services across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, its mission is clear: to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions that protect communities, strengthen infrastructure, and create long-term value for clients and partners. Specifically, Greenup Industries is committed to safety, reliability, and building sustainable partnerships that support the region's growth.
